In some ways this shot reminds me of the unnatural distortions of Jenny Saville's images – but it's nowhere near as extreme, nor as disturbing – but it does share something of the desire to disrupt the classic form of the female nude. And while I like it (not least because it's a shot of my wife, and I'm biased), and I do think that it's one of the more interesting shots that I've put up recently, I'm not too sure what everyone else will make of it. My wife's comment, despite the fact that she likes this shot, is that "it isn't distorted enough, it just makes my arse look big" :-)
