I was browsing through some old RAW files today and thought I'd have another go at processing one of the shots I took of this kite. Regular visitors will remember the original SG-Blackpool – I certainly do, it's my second most commented entry – and this version isn't entirely dissimilar. The processing was different (and technically better), and I've gone for a different set of colours this time round, but it's not a million miles away from the first one. On the whole, I prefer the previous version, but I am pleased with this one too.
On which note, I'm taking a couple of days off.
As most of you will have realised I've been scrabbling around for things to post over the last week or so and don't really think I'm doing myself justice by sticking to the image a day thing. We have a lot going on at the moment, all of which I'll explain at some point, but I've now got to the stage where there really aren't enough hours in the day and something's got to give. So, regrettably, I'm going to take a few days off from the blog to gather my wits, sort out some stuff at work, get the boiler fixed – we've had no hot water for two days – and generally chill out. At the absolute latest, I'll be back this time next week; but I suspect it will be sooner.
Update: It's been a couple of days since I posted anything so thanks for all your comments on this shot. All being well I'll be back in a couple of days.
