Venice Carnival Photo Tour, 2013: terms & conditions


Please note that in booking a place on this photo tour to Venice you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.

  1. You acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in a photo tour to the Venice Carnival (February 5th–10th, 2013), organised by Chromasia Training Limited, hereinafter referred to as "the Photo Tour". You also acknowledge that you fully assume all risks to your person and property in connection with your participation in the Photo Tour.
  2. You shall be solely responsible and liable for (i) obtaining passports, visas and other personal documentation appropriate for your participation in the Photo Tour, (ii) arranging transportation and flight arrangements and (iii) paying all costs and expenses related to your participation in the Photo Tour above those costs covered by the Photo Tour fee. Chromasia Training Limited does not take responsibility for non-refundable airline tickets.
  3. You understand and agree that you are responsible for arranging your own health, accident and liability insurance, if so desired. Chromasia Training Limited shall not provide any insurance for you in connection with your participation in the Photo Tour.
  4. You understand and agree that Chromasia Training Limited, and any and all of its personnel associated with the Photo Tour in which you will participate, have not and cannot make available to you, your family, or your heirs any assigned promises or guarantees with regard to your health and any safety risks which you may incur as a result of your participation in the Photo Tour.
  5. You fully and forever release, waive and discharge, and covenant not to sue, Chromasia Training Limited from and for any and all demands, claims, actions, suits, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including, but not limited to, court costs, attorney or other legal fees) from any cause whatsoever (including, but not limited to, travel delays, property damage and loss, bodily injuries, sickness, disease and death) directly or indirectly arising in connection with your participation in the Photo Tour, whether or not foreseeable or contributed to by the negligent acts or omissions of Chromasia Training Limited, its representatives or others.
  6. Your deposit will reserve your place on the Photo Tour. However, you will not be enrolled on the Photo Tour until the balance has been paid in full.
  7. There is a non-refundable cost of €100 per person for all cancellations. Additional refund restrictions apply as follows. If you cancel your booking between 45 and 60 days before the start of the Photo Tour you will receive a 50% refund of all monies paid. If you cancel your booking between 21 and 44 days before the start of the Photo Tour you will receive a 25% refund. If you cancel less than 21 days before the start of the Photo Tour you will forfeit your right to a refund.
  8. Both your deposit and balance payments must be paid by PayPal (payable to paypal@chromasia.com) or by bank transfer. If you would like to pay by bank transfer please email Libby for further details.
  9. If your balance payment has not been received by the specified date, Chromasia Training Limited reserves the right to offer your place to another person and you will forfeit your deposit.
  10. In the event of Chromasia Training Limited being unable to deliver the Photo Tour, due to illness or other circumstances beyond their control, the Photo Tour will be cancelled and all monies paid to them will be refunded unless you are offered, and accept an alternative date for attendance.
  11. Chromasia Training Limited reserves the right to change or cancel the Photo Tour. Should an alteration or cancellation become necessary, you will then have the choice of accepting an alternative date or receiving a refund of all monies paid to Chromasia Training Limited. They will not be held responsible for any other costs incurred by you (e.g. non-refundable flights, etc.).
  12. In the event of bad weather, or other circumstances beyond their control, Chromasia Training Limited reserves the right to alter the schedule of events and locations for the various photo shoots.
  13. In the event that a workshop does not meet the minimum number of required participants, all those booked on the course will be notified no less than six weeks prior to the departure date of the workshop, and all monies will be refunded.
  14. Chromasia Training Limited will not be held responsible for the services of the hotel or any other third party service providers.
  15. You must advise Chromasia Training Limited of any disability, illness or allergy that may effect your participation on any part of the Photo Tour at the time of booking.
  16. If you have any special dietary or other requests you should inform us of these prior to departure. We will advise the relevant supplier of your requirements, but we cannot guarantee that such requests will be met and will have no liability to you if such requests are not met.
  17. By attending the Photo Tour you give permission for images taken of you to be used to promote Chromasia Training Limited workshops in any media.
  18. In paying your deposit to Chromasia Training Limited you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
  19. These terms and conditions are intended to be as broad as is permissible under English Law, and shall be interpreted under English Law. If any portion of these terms and conditions is invalid and/or is declared to be invalid by a Court of Law, the balance of the terms and conditions shall continue in full force and effect.
