Buying prints

If you would like to order a print of any of the images on chromasia, please email me at the following address:

    prints@chromasia.com

… including the title, the date it was posted on the site, and the size of print you require.

The smaller prints (up to 18 x 12") are produced on an Epson 2100 (a seven ink printer) on Epson Premium Gloss, Semigloss, Matte or Watercolour paper and are of archival quality; i.e. they should still look great 50 years from now. The larger sizes are produced by a external lab’, on an Epson 9600, and are available in Semigloss or Gloss finish. From experience I’d recommend the Semigloss for both sizes, but if you’d rather opt for a different finish please let me know when you email me. All my prints are provided with a signed label that includes the image title.

Limited editions: My larger prints are only available as limited editions (please consult the ‘edition’ column in the table below for the number available at each size). All these prints are provided with a signed and numbered label which includes the image title.

Aspect ratios: Typically, the images on chromasia are presented in one of five aspect ratios: the majority of my recent images are formatted at 3 x 2 (e.g. this one); there are also quite a few at 2 x 1 (this image, for example); some are square like this one; a small number are ‘widescreen’ format, i.e. 16 x 9 (such as this one), and many of the earlier images, such as this one, are formatted at 4 x 3. The prices below cover all four aspect ratios and include examples of each format. Other sizes and formats may be available on request.

Please note that if you use the ‘buy this print’ link on any of the pages on chromasia (which is in the navigation bar and under each image on the main pages, and under the text on the comment listing popup and archive pages) it will take you to a custom page containing just the information for the relevant aspect ratio of the image you’re interested in. This is probably much easier than trying to work out the aspect ratio on an image by image basis.

Payment: my preferred payment method is PayPal, payable to paypal@chromasia.com, as it’s secure, fast, and PayPal accepts all major credit cards; but if you would rather pay by cheque or bank transfer please let me know. Also, please note that I prefer that payments are made in Pounds Stirling (GBP), so If you’re unsure of how much that will be in your local currency please visit xe.com’s Universal Currency Converter prior to ordering.

Colour matching: it is my intention to produce prints that closely resemble the on-screen version. However, it must be noted that the characteristics of prints and monitors are fundamentally different, and therefore a 100% match isn’t always possible.

Availability of prints: a few images on chromasia are not available as prints, and some are only available at smaller sizes.

Copyright: When you purchase a print of an image from chromasia, we provide you with the actual print, and grant you the right to display the print for viewing for non-commercial purposes. However, unless specifically authorised, you may not scan, duplicate, copy, resell, publish, or otherwise utilise the image in any manner without prior written authorisation – you will own the print, not the rights to the original image.

Licensing images

If you would like to purchase any of my images as digital files or web-ready graphics for commercial, editorial, personal, stock, or any other usage, and we can discuss format, licensing and pricing.

Commissions

Over the last year or so I have shot a number of weddings, portraits, private commissions and a major project for the Arts Council (in the UK); so, if you like my work and want to commission me for one of your own projects, please to discuss your requirements.

But what about ... ?

If there’s anything I’ve not covered, or anything else you would like to ask, .
