This is the first of three shots taken down at Blackpool seafront this lunchtime, and as you can see it was all rather dramatic. That said, it wasn't an especially high tide today, but the very strong onshore wind caused quite a bit of flooding along the front and a very rough sea.
This one was taken from the entrance of one of the tram shelters and required quite accurate timing; not for the photograph, but to ensure that I didn't get completely soaked as the water crashed back down.
