A lot of the time, when selecting shots for chromasia, I pass over shots such as this – ones that lack immediate impact – in favour of something more eye-catching, or colourful, or striking, or whatever. But on this occasion I think I'll put this one up and let you tell me what you think. Personally, I like it, but I'd be hard pushed to tell you exactly why.

Tomorrow, hopefully, I'll have a night shot to put up as I'm going out shooting with Paul from skinnybuzzard.com and John from shotsphotography.co.uk – it's a full moon tonight. I'm not sure quite where we're going yet – somewhere around Blackpool is all we've decided so far – but hopefully we'll be able to come up with something worth posting. It's a while since I've been night shooting and I'm looking forward to it.
